My playwriting concepts:

1. I want the audience to leave in a good mood.

2. Try to make the audience laugh in act one and think in act two.

3. I want each role to be worthy of the time and energy of the actors.

4. I write for small theaters, not the movies, so a single set is my default (there are exceptions)
